10m Air Rifle: target, programme and scoring
10m air rifle is shot standing, unsupported, at ten metres. The ten is a dot half a millimetre across — which is why the qualification is scored in decimals, up to 10.9 per shot.

Getting your result into Shotmetrix
- Photograph the result sheetThe printout of the scoring machine or range system — the AI reads every series and every shot.
- Photograph the targetThe shot paper target is enough: hits are detected and scored to ISSF rules.
- QR code of the rangeElectronic ranges by Meyton and SQM issue the result as a QR code — scan it and you are done.
- Training fileASAFA (XML) or Steyr SX — with aiming trace, hold time and trigger behaviour where the device provides them.
The results feed your form curve and personal bests, the outlier analysis and — where shot positions are available — the shot pattern with group size. Plus leaderboards, 1v1 duels in the same discipline and shot count, and competitions shot from your own range. What the analysis shows
Frequently asked
- How big is the ten on a 10m air rifle target?

- What does decimal scoring mean in air rifle?
- Each ring is divided into ten steps: a ten counts 10.0 to 10.9 depending on where it lands, instead of a flat 10. The maximum is 10.9 per shot — 654.0 over 60 shots, 436.0 over 40.
- When does a shot count as an inner ten?
- When the ten dot is shot out completely. The German federation (DSB) counts 10.2 and above as an inner ten.
