How it works

  1. Photograph the targetStraight on, the whole target in frame, in good light and without shadows.
  2. UploadIn Shotmetrix choose “Create”, set the discipline and pick the photo.
  3. Check the hitsEvery detected hit is shown on the target. If one is off, drag it into place.

What the analysis shows

  • Rings and decimals per shot, series and total
  • Shot position: is your group left, right, high or low?
  • Group size in millimetres
  • Heatmap and outliers across all your targets
  • Progress: is the group getting tighter, is its centre drifting?

Where is my data processed?

On our own servers in Germany, with our own models. Your targets are not sent to a US provider for scoring.

Frequently asked

How accurate is scoring from a photo?
Every hit is measured on the target and scored to the tenth. How precise that is depends on the photo: straight on, sharp and without shadows. You can check and move every detected hit before saving.
Do I need to install an app?
No. Shotmetrix runs in the browser on phone, tablet and computer. A free account is all you need.
Does scoring cost anything?
No. Uploading and scoring are free.
Are overlapping hits detected?
A hole hiding two hits cannot always be separated on a photo. If you know the shot count, a missing hit is obvious and you add it by hand.
